Family console gaming
JOYCUB — screen time worth cheering for.
JOYCUB is a walk-in club where families play console video games together. Kids and parents share the couch, pick a game by age, and a game master keeps the fun fair. No arguing about “five more minutes” — the timer does that for you.
Play zones
Every zone runs games that match the age group, so nobody wanders into something too scary or too tricky. Look for the age circle on each zone.
Ages 4–7. Big-button controllers, gentle co-op games and short rounds. A grown-up sits close on the low pouffes.
Ages 8–12. Team platformers, friendly racing and puzzle games. Friends can join for two-on-two matches by score.
Everyone together. Party titles built for mixed ages, so a seven-year-old and a parent can win the same round.

For parents
Here is exactly how we keep play safe and calm. No surprises, no small print.
Every title is chosen against its official age rating. Staff never load a game above the zone’s age band.
Each seat runs a visible timer. When a round ends, the screen pauses gently — no sudden cut-off, no meltdown.
A quiet corner with seats, free Wi-Fi and a clear view of the zones, so you can work or read while kids play.
A game master is always on the floor in a bright shirt. Ask them anything — swaps, breaks or a calmer game.
Good questions
From about four years old and up. Younger children play in the Mini zone with a grown-up close by; older kids and teens have their own zones with age-matched games.
Birthday cake is welcome and we set out a cake-pause table for it. Outside meals go in the waiting area, not at the screens. Water and light snacks are fine in the zones.
Our consoles run a checked library only, so we know every game fits the age zone. If your child loves a specific title, ask ahead and we will tell you if it is on the shelf.
For the Mini zone we ask one adult per two little ones. Kids eight and up can be dropped off if a parent stays reachable by phone. For parties, two adults plus our game master is plenty.
